A new year sparks visions of promise
for a world free of MS. Until that day arrives, however, every new year – every
single day – adds to the roster of MS warriors. I wanted to share this prose as
a response to the inevitable question: Why Me?
A Prayer for the Newly
Diagnosed
The
Lord wept because of their suffering.
As
they grappled forward, his tears began to fade.
He
was struck by unity,
as
they faced individual struggles.
With
every setback,
He
saw impassioned determination.
In
the face of despair,
hope
redefined reality.
When
He witnessed the strength of MS warriors,
heaven
parted and the Lord said,
“Their
valiancy shall be salvation for all.
Send
unto the world another.”
Because it is a fight.
The fight is not over and it won’t be over until a cure is found.
It will never stop…nor will we
It will never quit…nor will we
